Welcome to the Purple Dragon MUD Page.
We have tried to bring MUD playing back closer to its roots of fantasy. You will find no blasters or plasma guns on this MUD. You will however find lots of Elves, Goblins, and of course Dragons. Perhaps you would like to be one of the few good dragons that didn't follow their evil leader in his quest for world domination, or what about a powerful mage who can ===ERADICATE=== his foes with multiple Acid Blasts. Maybe you think you have the stuff it takes to become a Hero and take on the Purple Dragon himself, but beware that he doesn't rip off your head and breath fire down your neck. We have tried our best to make this the kind of mud that encourages just hanging out and helping others. Newbies are very welcome. There is nothing better than turning on a newbie to mudding. (IMHO) Introducing our new forum!! Discuss everything PD and more at the Purple Dragon Forum
To view any events that are upcomming on the mud (clan meetings, quests, parties, etc.) please use our Calendar. We are currently accepting donations to put up a banner on Mud Connect. We are going to shoot for the basic Ad Package #1 which is $50/month giving us 10,000 ad banner impressions displayed in gereal rotation on all available TMC pages. For more information on the TMC ad packages, you can go Here. If we get a high turnout, maybe we can even shoot for package #2! (: So, show your PD support and donate! Just click the button below to pay securely through PayPal.

To connect, you can add Purple Dragon to your connection list via your Mud Server by inputting the following:
Host: pdragon.org Port: 5555
Or, you can connect using telnet by clicking the link below:
Purple Dragon Telnet
Please note that telnet is a really crappy client. If you type something, it will not show, but press enter and the text WILL be inputed.
Click on the "Links" tab and download a reccomended client under 'clients' section.
Recently, the telnet link has stopped working because updated browsers/windows vista stopped supporting them. If you rely on this link to get on the mud, go here: http://www.lib.berkeley.edu/Catalogs/telnet_problems.html to trouble shoot it. Again, we recommend you download a FREE client from our links page. We recommend GMud.
